Google Squared – Ordered Results

I love the new Google Squared, it really is the future of research!

It’s like a comparison site for everything.

And unlike Microsoft, Google knows about the Pope… all of them.

google squared the pope

Just think how much easier it would have been to do your school homework with this.

Compare the planets, countries or pop stars, and select the attributes that you want to compare.

It’s by no means perfect, there are some missing and misinterpreted bits of data, but I think it’s a huge step forward for Google.

Understanding context of data from parapraphs of text will help improve both relevance of search results & help answer questions without simply pointing people in the right direction to look for the answers themselves.

I tried it for some products and it gives a price column and you can select from more options then save your preference. The price column also includes a link to the site.

As you say, it’s shaky (for products it is giving far from the ‘best’ results) but certainly massive potential!

    Hi Kay,

I didn’t get as far as prices, but I would have thought that they would have the advantage with businesses entering their data into Google Base.
